How to move XWall / CryptoFilter / POPBeamer / SMTPBeamer to a new directory or new machine |

Same machine, new directory
-
stop the XWall / CryptoFilter / POPBeamer / SMTPBeamer service
-
deinstall the service ( type MBServer remove in a DOS box )
-
reboot the server
-
deinstall the XWall / POPBeamer / SMTPBeamer in Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs
-
install the XWall / POPBeamer / SMTPBeamer on the new directory using setup.exe,
but do not start it yet
-
move *.dat and *. ini and *.txt from the old directory to the new directory
( move and not copy )
-
install the service ( type MBServer install in a DOS box )
-
reapply the registration number
-
start the XWall / POPBeamer / SMTPBeamer service
Note: Make sure that the same registration number does not run more than one time
or else the registration number will be locked and the program stops working.
New machine
-
stop the XWall / CryptoFilter / POPBeamer / SMTPBeamer service
-
deinstall the service ( type MBServer remove in a DOS box )
-
deinstall the XWall / POPBeamer / SMTPBeamer in Control Panel->Add/Remove Programs
Note: you must deinstall the program. Simply stopping it will not work and
you will get a license violation on the new server
-
install the XWall / POPBeamer / SMTPBeamer on the new machine using setup.exe,
but do not start it yet
-
move *.dat and *. ini and *.txt from the old machine to the new machine
( move and not copy )
-
install the service ( type MBServer install in a DOS box )
-
reapply the registration number
-
start the XWall / POPBeamer / SMTPBeamer service

If you want to run XWall / POPBeamer / SMTPBeamer on the new machine in demo mode,
then open XWall.ini / POPBeam.ini / smtpbeam.ini and remove the MV= line, which hold the registration number.
